About Me

Howdy! I’m Yu-Neng Chuang, a final-year Ph.D. candidate from the Department of Computer Science at Rice University, co-advised by Dr. Xia “Ben” Hu and Dr. Vladimir Braverman. Before that, I received my bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and my master’s degree in Computer Science, both from National ChengChi University.

I aim to build reliable and efficient LLM systems through LLM post-training techniques such as efficient long-context reasoning, uncertainty-guided routing, and multimodal agent systems. Currently, I am working on post-training and reinforcement learning for LLM reasoning and multimodal LLM agents.

I was a research intern at Google Deepmind Google DeepMind, was a research intern at Apple Apple, and was a research intern at Samsung Reserach AmericaSamsung Research America. I am currently working on industrial collaboration project with Meta AI Meta AI.

🔥 I am actively seeking full-time Research Scientist/Engineer opportunities starting in May 2026!
